Night of the Demons is a cult horror favorite from 1988 concerning ten high school seniors who opt to forego the annual school dance and throw a Halloween party in a haunted, dilapidated funeral home where grisly murders took place years before. When bobbing for apples and pin the tail on the donkey don't cut it as party games, the group decides to hold a sŽance Ð unwittingly unleashing a pack of horrendous demons that possess and mutilate the teens with horrific abandon. The film has a notorious reputation for extreme gore and violence, which was trimmed by eventual exhibitors for theatrical distribution, but then restored for home video release on DVD. Scream Queen Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead) co-stars in the film, directed by Witchboard auteur Kevin Tenney. Two sequels followed: Night of the Demons 2 and Night of the Demons 3. The film was also remade in 2009 and went straight-to-DVD.
