Night of the Living Dead is a horror movie from 1990 directed by Tom Savini and written by George A. Romero. A remake of a film with the same name from 1968, Night of the Living Dead features the same crew as the original classic, with the exception of the director. Like the original film, Night of the Living Dead begins with a zombie attack on siblings Johnnie (Bill Moseley) and Barbara (Patricia Tallman). Barbara is able to escape, and she flees to an an empty farmhouse for cover. There, she meets Ben (Tony Todd), Harry Cooper (Tom Towles), Helen Cooper (McKee Anderson), Tom Landry (William Butler), and Judy Rose Larson (Kate Finneran). These strangers must come together to fight for their lives and to protect each other. The Coopers want to stay in the basement with their sick daughter, Sarah (Heather Mazur) while some of the others see fleeing the house as their only hope for survival. Will the survivors make it through the night, or will they become the zombies' next meal? The Night of the Living Dead series includes Dawn of the Dead (1978), Day of the Dead (1985), Land of the Dead (2005), Diary of the Dead (2007), Survival of the Dead (2010), and many other remakes.moreless
