Night of the Scarecrow

Movie Summary

Director:
Jeff Burr
Released:
1995
Rating:
R
Night of the Scarecrow is sci-fi horror flick featuring a vengeful scarecrow out for blood. A group of drunk teens think stealing a tractor to go joyriding in the fields is a neat idea until they unwittingly set free the spirit of a vengeful warlock who possesses a scarecrow. The scarecrow (Howard Swain) is hell-bent on visiting deadly revenge on the descendents of the men who murdered him years ago. The creatively bloody deaths of one person after another keep the town in shock, and the scarecrow is nowhere near finished. The Mayor's prodigal daughter Claire (Elizabeth Barondes) and her sweetheart, Dillon (John Mese), may be the only chance the town has of surviving the scarecrow's rampage. Dillon is new in town and thus not in danger of the scarecrow's wrath. Working together Claire and Dillon may be able to stop the scarecrow before all the townspeople suffer violent, painful deaths, or perhaps not.
