Night of the Wilding is a 1990 made-for-television crime drama directed by Joseph Merhi. The film is loosely based on a crime that happened in the late 1980s in Central Park, where a woman was the victim of a violent rape during a gang's "wilding." Wilding is a terrible fad that became popular around that time where young gang members in inner cities would go on insane sprees of partying, violence, and destruction for days, affecting everyone and everything in their path. In the movie, three suspects are found and arrested for the crime. After they are assigned to a well-known defense attorney named Joseph (Erik Estrada), he must try to keep them in check. When people involved in the case start being murdered in violent ways, Joseph must try to stop the gang from killing anyone else, including the ex-wife he still loves that happens to be the prosecutor for the case.
