Night Riders of Montana is a 1951 Western starring Allan 'Rocky' Lane as a Montana State Ranger. A group of horse ranchers in a remote part of the state are having trouble with cattle rustlers, so they band together to petition the governor for help. Rocky is dispatched to look into the problem, and teams up with town sheriff Skeeter Davis (Chubby Johnson). As Rocky investigates, all signs point to Steve Bauer (Myron Healey), an ill-tempered rancher, as the culprit. But when Bauer's friend Sam Foster (Marshall Bradford) is murdered, Rocky starts to suspect that Bauer has been framed for the crimes, and begins sniffing around elsewhere. Meanwhile, he and Skeeter still need to get to the bottom of the horse thievery that's plaguing the ranchers. As Rocky and Skeeter investigate further and follow the evidence, they discover that the murder and the cattle rustling are connected, and discover the surprising truth of it all.
