Night Skies is a 2007 sci-fi movie that is based on actual events from what is referred to as the "Phoenix Lights". This event is the largest sighting of unidentified lights in the sky that has ever been recorded and is seen by thousands of people in the southwest. People from all walks of life claim to see the same things in the sky and this film's story is taken from the recorded hypnosis-therapy sessions of some of those viewers. The film begins on March 13, 1997 and five young people including Lily (AJ Cook), Molly (Ashley Peldon), Matt (George Stults), Joe (Joseph Sikora) and June (Gwendoline Yeo) are stuck somewhere in the desert between Arizona and Nevada because their RV breaks down. As they are working on their RV to get it moving again, Richard (Jason Connery) comes by in a truck and tries to help the group out. While all of them are in the desert, strange lights appear overhead and the group believes they are seeing UFOs. Then they begin to hear strange noises and end up getting a closer look at aliens than they ever wanted. They only good news is that they live to tell the story of what happened to them.moreless
