Night Time in Nevada is a 1948 feature film starring Roy Rogers as himself in his role as hero in the Western tradition. The plot begins in the rowdy and treacherous silver mines of the Nevada desert where Mr. Andrews, one of the main character's father, is murdered in cold blood by his mining partner, Ran Farrell (Grant Withers). Ran Farrell moves on to other nefarious schemes, including rustling cattle, and 20 years later he runs into the film's protagonist, Roy Rogers. Also present is Joan Andrews (Adele Mara), the daughter of the murdered mining partner, who is hoping to reclaim the money her father left for her in a trust fund. Instead, Ran Farrell takes the money from Joan Andrew's lawyer and tricks her and Roy Rogers by letting them hear misinformation about the location of his next hustling plot. The protagonists fall right into the trap and the next thing they know they are fighting for their lives in the midst of a poorly guarded cattle train.moreless
