No Vacancy is a 1999 romantic drama directed by Marius Balchunas. The film focuses on Lillian (Christina Ricci) who is a 21-year-old with no direction in life. She is engaged to a loser who cheats on her all the time, and she has no desire to leave him. The couple live in the Pink Motel, a seedy, run-down motel on the outskirts of LA owned by Reynaldo (Joaquim de Almeida). One morning after a night she cannot remember, Lillian wakes up next to a man she does not know and has no idea how she got there. To try to piece together the events she cannot remember, Lillian interacts with the other misfits who live in the Pink Motel. Her misfit neighbors include a violinist who never stops playing, a crazed New Age guru who is obsessed with colonic treatments, drug addicts, prostitutes and a visiting angry pimp, Mr. Tangerine (Robert Wagner).
