No Way Back is a crime film written and directed by Frank A. Cappello. The action surrounds dedicated FBI Agent Zack Grant (Russell Crowe) as he unwittingly entangles himself in the dealings of crime lord Frank Serlano (Michael Lerner). Zack initially comes into Frank's sights when the FBI agent sends his partner Seiko Kobayashi (Kelly Hu) on a mission to bring down a gang of skin-heads led by Frank's son, Victor (Ian Ziering). The mission proves deadly for both Seiko and Victor, and when Frank learns of his son's death, he is determined to get revenge. He promises that Zack's son will receive the same fate as Victor if the agent does not deliver the person responsible for the killing. With Seiko dead, Zack scrambles to find someone evil enough to bring to Frank. Knowing that he must work outside the law, Zack goes rogue and tries to satisfy the criminals while also averting his own government.
