Noble Things is a 2008 drama directed by Dan McMellen and Brett Moses. Jimmy Wayne Collins (Brett Moses) has spent years carefully avoiding his hometown in southeast Texas. Once upon a time, Jimmy had a bright future in front of him. Everyone who heard his music assumed that Jimmy would be the next great country music legend. A tragic series of accidents changed all his plans, however, and left Jimmy broken and running from his roots. For years, Jimmy has spent his time in Tennessee, never daring to return to Texas and face the skeletons in his closet. Fate has other plans. Reluctantly, Jimmy comes back home, where he finds that little has changed. His brother, Kyle (Ryan Hurt), is still behind bars, while his father (Michael Parks) is losing a battle against a terminal illness. Jimmy also has to face his ex-girlfriend (Dominique Swain) and all the heartache and disappointment she has carried.
