Noise is a 2004 award-winning drama directed by Tony Spiridakis. The story centers around Joyce Chandler (Trish Goff), a charming woman and accomplished newspaper copy editor. She tries to get her life back after a divorce and a struggle with alcohol addiction. The first step is to find her own comfortable place that would offer her the peace and the privacy she needs to heal her soul. A nice apartment in Manhattan seems to meet her expectations until she meets her upstairs neighbor Charlotte Bancroft (Ally Sheedy). Her noisy behavior and loud music are a great disturbance for peace-seeking Joyce. Her multiple attempts to negotiate with her troubled neighbor are a massive failure as the noise and the chaos become even more aggravated.
