Noose for a Gunman is a suspenseful Western with elements of mystery throughout. The film starts with ex-Marshal Case Britton's (Jim Davis) arrival to his former home of Rock Valley, returning after a long absence to meet his fiancee. Case's arrival in town is met with hostility from citizens, most of all wealthy cattle baron, Baron Maclane (Carl Avery) due to Case's former position as the town's Marshal and the fact that he is now a wanted felon. Shortly after his arrival in town, Case attempts to warn the town's current Marshal and citizens about a bandit that intends to rob the Rock Valley stagecoach; a stagecoach his fiancee happens to be traveling on. The citizens of the town, led on by Baron Maclane, simply write off Case's warning as nothing more than a tall tale from the mouth of a murderer. Case is surprised to find belief in the man who replaced him as Marshal. The two strike up a friendship and set out to save Case's fiance, stop the stagecoach robbery, prove Case's innocence, and arrest the very man who framed Case.moreless
