North to Alaska is a comedic western that follows two miners in Alaska Territory. Sam (John Wayne) and George (Stewart Granger) strike gold during the '98 gold rush and George finds that Sam is the only person he can trust. Given this trust, George sends Sam back to Seattle to get his fianc''. The comedy ensues as Sam finds that George's fianc'' has already married another man and instead decides to bring Angel (Capucine), a beautiful prostitute, back for George. After unsuccessfully trying to build sparks between Angel and George, Sam gives up. Sam then decides to romance Angel himself, just as George's younger brother Billy (Fabian) decides to do the same. As the romantic triangle progresses a con man, Frankie (Ernie Kovacs) enters the scene intent on stealing Sam and George's gold. The comedy ensues as they try to sort out the love triangle and save their loot from Frankie in this hilarious Alaskan adventure directed by Henry Hathaway.
