Norwood is a comedy film about a small town man with a big town dream. Ex-marine Norwood Pratt (Glen Campbell) is tired of his boring life and decides to move to New York City to strike it rich as a country music star. It quickly becomes apparent that Pratt is in for some serious adventures on his way to stardom. Pratt meets several new friends along the way, including Grady Fring (Pat Hingle), a shady con artist, Marie (Tisha Sterling) a would be actress who has been rejected more times than she cares to count and Joe Reese (Joe Namath), a former friend of Pratt's from their days in the military. Just as Pratt is about to realize his dream of singing on a national radio program, he meets Rita Lee Chipman (Kim Darby). Rita Lee reminds our hero that sometimes, the most important thing in life is not what you're doing, but who you are with. Directed by Jack Haley Jr., this comedy was released by Paramount Pictures in 1970.moreless
