Not Easily Broken is a drama film that follows the story of one couple's failing marriage. Dave (Morris Chesnut) and his wife, Clarice (Taraji P. Henson), have been having problems in their marriage. His desire to have children and her meddling mother, Mary (Jenifer Lewis), are two of their biggest problems. When Clarice is involved in a car accident, she becomes more distant from Dave. At the same time, she begins to see a physical therapist named Julie (Maeve Quinlan). Dave becomes close with Julie and her teenage son, Bryson (Cannon Jay). He gets the comfort and family feeling from Julie and Bryson that he feels his wife Clarice will not give him. A terrible accident occurs that brings Dave and Julie even closer and Dave is forced to make the decision of whether or not to save his marriage or start a new life.
