1991
Rating:
PG-13
Nothing But Trouble is the bizarre comedy-creature feature hybrid from writer-director Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters, Spies Like Us, The Blues Brothers, Armed and Dangerous). Christopher Lawrence Thorne (Chevy Chase, National Lampoon's Vacation, Caddyshack, Community) is a successful financial publisher, who meets knockout lawyer Diane Lightson (Demi Moore, Indecent Proposal, G.I. Jane, Ghost) one night at a party and is so smitten with her, he offers to drive her to Atlantic City for a meeting she has. No sooner are they in the garage, when they are joined by two of Chris's clients, Fausto and Renalda Squiriniszu (Taylor Negron and Bertila Damas) and it's off on the road trip of their lives. Things get interesting when they accidentally miss a stop sign in a less than one horse town and are rounded up by Constable Dennis (John Candy, Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains and Automobiles) and taken before the strange local Justice of the Peace, Judge Alvin 'J.P' Valkenheiser (Aykroyd). The judge immediately decrees they be put to death and confined at his gothic mansion where they get into one wacky, surrealistic mishap after another.moreless
