Movie Summary

Released:
1993
Rating:
R

Sam Gillen is on the run after escaping from prison. Sam took the rap for a bank guard his partner killed during the heist. His partner repays him by busting Sam out of Federal custody, but is killed in the process, leaving Sam alone and on the run. Sam knows the loot from the robbery is buried on a nearby farm. Patricia Arquette plays Clydie Anderson, the widowed farm owner who doesn't know why the handsome and brave Sam is hanging around her place, but she's happy to have a man around. Her husband's gone and she's too busy raising her two kids to fend off a property developer who's willing to do whatever it takes to get the rights to Clydie's land. Sam, a noble man despite his criminal past, finds himself drawn to Clydie's plight. He might be able to help her if he can avoid getting thrown back in prison. Nowhere to Run is a gripping story about two hard-luck lovers fighting for their freedom.
