Odds Against Tomorrow is an action film that revolves around a robbery. David Burke (Ed Begley) is an ex-police officer whose career was ruined because he would not help investigators. Earl Slater (Robert Ryan) is an ex-convict who David calls upon to help him rob a bank. If they are able to successfully rob the bank, David promises to give Earl $50,000. David also enlists the help of club entertainer Johnny Ingram (Harry Belafonte) to help with the crime. At first Johnny is hesitant in helping, but realizing he is deep in debt, he agrees. Earl is not happy about working with a black man, but the trio does go through with the heist. As they are leaving the bank, David is spotted by a police officer causing a chain of events that change the lives of all the men.
