One Big Affair, the 1952 rollicking comedy drama from director Peter Godfrey, follows the story of flaky Jean Harper (Evelyn Keyes), who goes on vacation from her school-teaching job in Pomona to take a tour through Mexico by bus. After her boredom with the trip causes her to miss the bus, she runs into the dashing divorce lawyer, Jimmy Donovan (Dennis O'Keefe), whom she finds to be the most interesting sight she has seen so far. Jimmy is on his way to Acapulco and Jean happily decides to join him. Some confusion ensues, however, and the duo ends up being pursued by the authorities when Jimmy is accused of kidnapping Jean. They have many adventures and humorous encounters, such as one with a orphaned Mexican boy who adopts them. The film was shot on location in Mexico and also features Mary Anderson, Connie Gilchrist, Gus Schilling, Jos'' Torvay, and Andrew Vel''zquez.
