One Crazy Summer is a romantic comedy written and directed by Savage Steve Holland. Hoops McCann (John Cusack) dreams of pursuing a career as a writer and illustrator after his high school graduation. He and his best friend George (Joe Murray) decide to take one last summer trip to Nantucket before the next stage of their lives begins. On the way, they encounter Cassandra (Demi Moore), a young woman on the run from a motorcycle gang. After helping her get away from the men, they learn that the bank is going to foreclose her home. The two boys decide to organize a fundraiser to help her. Although they are able to raise sufficient funds, the mortgage on Cassandra's house has already been sold by the time she tries to save it. Unwilling to give up, the trio, along with a few islanders, continue their quest to save the home and discover love and friendship along the way.
