Ophelia Learns to Swim is a 2000 comedy directed by Jurgen Vsych. In the film, Ophelia (Julia Lee) is a wimpy girl with pathological fears that lives with her dad (Tony Ketcham) and brother, Larry (George Gray), in the LA Valley. No one expects much from Ophelia except to clean and cook and she is okay with her situation. Unfortunately, life gets complicated when her brother steals a broom from a witch (Lauren Berkell). The witch shows up at the house and wants her broom back, the problem is Ophelia broke the broom. Now Ophelia must deal with the witch and her council of evil villains. The council includes Virginia Svelte (Hilary Shepard), Cosmetic Chick (Sybil Azur), the Doucher (Jennifer Massey). This evil council is intent on destroying women's movements and setting back everything women have achieved. Since Ophelia cannot save women's rights on her own, she must face her fears and join forces with heroines Mother Nature (LaVonne Rae Andrews) and the Librarian (Dian Kobayashi) to stop the super villains from destroying women's rights.moreless
