Orca: The Killer Whale is a 1977 horror film starring Richard Harris, Charlotte Rampling, and Will Sampson in a story about a killer whale sent into a murderous rage after the death of his mate and unborn child, and the man who sets out to sea to engage in the powerful animal in a fight to the finish. Harris plays Captain Nolan, an Irish sailor currently working in Canada, where he hopes to make enough money capturing marine animals for aquariums to pay for the trip back home to Ireland. Nolan is on the hunt for a great white shark that would bring a big payday, but during the chase the shark is eaten by a killer whale. Nolan decides to go after the whale instead, but in doing so accidentally kills the whale and the unborn child the whale was carrying. The dead whale's mate watches from afar, and the sight of his dead family send him on a bloody mission to kill the people responsible. With the town at risk because of Nolan's irresponsible behavior, the Irishman will have to return to sea to defeat the angry whale or die trying.moreless
