Released in 2003, the box set includes copies of The Stranger (1946), Mr. Arkadin (1955), and The Trial (1962). The Stranger is about a Nazi (Orson Welles) that moves to America to seek refuge as a college professor. But soon, his evil past catches up with him and he is driven to violence and anger. Mr. Arkadin is a melodramatic crime drama about a wealthy businessman named Arkadin (Orson Welles) who hires a drifter named Guy van Stratten (Robert Arden) to help him remember who he is by studying his past. Through the in depth investigation, several people start to turn up dead. The Trial stars Anthony Perkins and Orson Welles and is about a man that wakes up in a world in which bureaucrats make up laws as they see fit. Together these three films showcase the wide breadth and variety that Welles continuously brought to the screen throughout his film career.
