Osmosis Jones is a 2001 combination live-action/animated film directed by Tom Sito. Francis "Frank" Detorre (Bill Murray) is a disheveled zookeeper who does not eat healthy food or follow the principles of basic hygiene. After he eats a rancid, hard-boiled egg that he drops into an animal cage, he is unaware that an entire drama begins playing out inside of his body, dubbed the "City of Frank" by its residents. Osmosis "Ozzy" Jones (Chris Rock), a white blood cell/police officer in Frank's mouth, tries to apprehend the germs that came from the egg. When the germs escape further into the body, Mayor Phlegmming (William Shatner) decides to hire an over-the-counter cold-suppressant tablet named Drix (David Hyde Pierce) to help relieve Frank's symptoms. The police force assigns Ozzy to help Drix in his duties, and the two go about battling what they believe is just an insignificant cold. But when their investigation reveals that there is something more sinister at work in the body, the duo must work together to kill the virus before Frank's time runs out.moreless
