The word Marwar means "the land of death." It is in this Indian environment that both a horse and a man are emerging to new life. Out of Marwar follows a young horse breeder, Ajit, who is attempting to revive his heritage and maintain the honor of his father by breeding Marwari horses. Providing commentary on the horse and the cultural situation is a noble prince, Raghuvendra Singh Dundlod, who himself is bringing back to life the culture of his past. Through the metaphor of the horse, Out of Marwar demonstrates how heritage has a place in modern society and old ways can be redeemed for new purposes.
