Out of the Dark is a 1989 American horror film directed by Michael Schoeder and starring Cameron Dye, Lynn Danielson-Rosenthal, Karen Black, and Divine. The film tells the story of Suite Nothings, a phone sex hot line based in Los Angeles. The phone line is operated by failed models, and amongst them is Bobo, a sadistic employee who spends his free time dressed up as a clown murdering his fellow workers. Before he brutally murders each of his victims, he makes them walk a tightrope of fear, terrorizing them before they are killed. As more and more of the models are killed, Bobo quickens the pace of the killings. Can he be stopped before the entire company has been murdered? This received poor review from critics but has gained notoriety for being Divine's final film.
