Outlaw is a 2007 British film directed by Nick Love. The story starts out by following the experiences of several characters whose pasts have left them disillusioned about the level of lawlessness and lack of justice in modern Britain. Gene Dekker (Danny Dyer) is beaten up for no reason while on the way to a wedding. Prosecution barrister Cedric Munroe (Lennie James) receives death threats against his pregnant wife because of his involvement in a case against heroin dealer Terry Manning (Rob Fry). Danny Bryant (Sean Bean) has served his country in conflicts in The Falklands, Afghanistan and Iraq. On his return home he finds that his wife is with another man, and Britain is more like a war zone than the conflict zones where he was serving his country. A common link that each of them has with former football hooligan Simon Hillier (Sean Harris) brings the men together with others to form a vigilante group. The group sets out to hand out their own form of retribution to those that have threatened or attacked them. The group gets tip offs from Walter Lewis (Bob Hoskins), a police insider helping them identify targets. The group becomes known in the media as the Outlaws. However, things start to go wrong for the Outlaws when their identities become known to an associate of Manning. The release of Manning from prison provides a target for the Outlaws that cannot be ignored, and the film progresses towards a final showdown with deadly consequences.moreless
