Outlaws of Santa Fe is a movie made in 1944 and its setting is in the old west. The Hackett gang, led by Jim Hackett (Charles Morton) rob a bank in Red Bluff. On the chase out Jim Hackett is mortally wounded. He tells his son Bob Hackett (Don "Red" Barry) that he is not Bob's father. Bob's father is really a famous marshal murdered by a cattle rustler. Santa Fe wants to name Bob marshal after he saves Ruth Gordon (Helen Talbot) and her sister Winky Gordon (Twinkle Watts) from the cattle rustler's gang. Bob decides to change his name to Bob Conroy when he gets to Santa Fe and finds his real father's name on the marshal badge that the town gives him. His sidekick, Buckshot (Wally Vernon), comes to Santa Fe with him, and they decided to return the money to Red Bluff bank. Before they return the money, Bob and Buckshot are getting ready to bring in the man who killed Bob's father. Before they can do either Henry Jackson (Herbert Hayes), the cattle rustler and the father killer steals the money from Bob and Buckshot. Henry also blames them for the recent rash of bank robberies in the area.moreless
