Outlaw's Son is a classic western tale of a man trying to do right by his family and a coming-of-age tale of a boy trying to cope with the hand life has dealt him. The story begins with Jeff Blaine (Ben Cooper) and his aunt, Ruth (Ellen Drew), being reunited with Jeff's father, Nate Blaine (Dane Clark). Nate used to be a notorious outlaw, but now wants to renounce his ways and take care of his son. Ruth disagrees, and when she learns that Nate wants to take Jeff away with him, she fears for the boy's future. She lies to the police, telling them that Nate committed an armed robbery, and has him arrested. Nate, not wanting to bring Jeff into the life of an outlaw, keeps up the lie, letting Jeff believe that he committed the crime. Ten years later, Nate learns the truth and decides to become an outlaw himself, wanting to get back at the town that has ostracized him and the family that lied to him during all those years.moreless
