Outpost is a 2008 British horror film from director Steve Barker, based on the original screenplay by Rae Brunton who describes the film as "Platoon meets The Sixth Sense." Set in Eastern Europe, Outpost tells the chilling tale of six mercenaries on a mission to protect scientist Hunt (Julian Wadham), travelling through the war ravaged countryside to an abandoned Nazi bunker. Led by former Royal Marine DC (Ray Stevenson), the team soon discovers the mission is not as simple as expected, with the bunker revealed to be a test lab for SS officers experimenting with reality shifting and reanimation. Investigating the gruesome carnage left by the Nazi officer's attempts to produce invincible soldiers, the team is stunned and horrified to find a survivor (Johnny Meres) in the rubble. When Taktarov (Brett Fancy) and Voyteche (Julian Rivett) are discovered brutally murdered the team soon realizes that the situation is far worse than they could imagine. Faced with the fight of their lives, DC and his team must survive the unimaginable if they are to discover the truth in the bunker.moreless
