Over Her Dead Body is a 2008 romantic comedy written and directed by Jeff Lowell, which tells the story of a romantic affair disturbed by the spirit of a deceased fiancée. Henry (Paul Rudd) and Kate (Eva Longoria Parker) are deeply in love with each other, making plans for the future and organizing their wedding. On their wedding day, tragedy strikes, and shortly their future is destroyed by Katy's death. Henry can barely contain his grief and psychological distress, but his sister Chloe (Lindsay Sloane) suggests that a psychic may help him communicate with his dead fiancée. Henry decides to give it a try, and he schedules an appointment with Ashley (Lake Bell), who is willing to use her mind powers to help Henry connect with his fiancée's soul. Henry, however, feels instantly attracted to Ashley, and their sessions soon become the start of a romantic affair. Ashley's psychic abilities may actually be effective because Kathy's ghost appears to put a lot of effort into destroying their passion.moreless
