Over the Hedge is a 2006 computer animated comedy film from DreamWorks Animation, based on the United Media comic strip of the same name. Set in Tucson, Arizona, Over the Hedge tells the story of RJ (voice of Bruce Willis), a raccoon with little other concerns than finding his next meal. When he stumbles upon Vincent (voice of Nick Nolte), a hibernating bear with a generous stockpile of commercially packaged food, RJ thinks he has stumbled upon nirvana. But when he tries to steal the food, Vincent wakes up! In the ensuing scramble, all the food is crushed. Now, to avoid becoming Vincent's next meal, RJ has to replace the entire cache within a week, before Vincent wakes fully from his winter hibernation. It's off to the suburbs for this raccoon, and his food hunting adventures can get pretty crazy! Over the Hedge was both a commercial and critical success.
