Pals of the Pecos is a 1941 classic Western directed by Lester Orlebeck. In the days of the pony express, Dan Burke (Patrick O'Malley) pursues a mail contract but not without a challenge. Stevens (Robert Frazer) and his partner Keno (Roy Barcroft) are out to stop him and claim it for themselves. Burke's son Larry (Dennis Moore) is horribly murdered, and now Dan is out for revenge and justice. A gang called Three Mesquiteers is blamed, and Dan goes after them. Tim Burke (Robert Winkler) breaks the Mesquiteers out of jail to see if they can come to the rescue. They set up the mail run in the hope of obtaining the contract, but Stevens and Keno set up a roadblock for the mail, a roadblock stacked with a powder keg of dynamite. Part of fifty-one movies in the Three Mesquiteers series, Pals of the Pecos is filled with thrilling chases and fights that keep the audience enthralled.
