Panic is a 2000 crime comedy film directed by Henry Bromell. In the film, Alex (William H. Macy) is in the middle of a mid-life crisis. He is married to Martha (Tracy Ullman) and they have a young child, Sammy (David Dorfman). Alex cannot speak to his wife about his troubles because she does not know who he really is. His main problem is that he wants to quit his family business despite the fact that he has been groomed his entire life by his parents, Michael (Donald Sutherland) and Deidre (Barbara Bain), to follow in their career paths. He enlists the help of a therapist to sort out what he should do. While visiting his therapist, he meets Sarah Cassidy (Neve Campbell) a young attractive woman. His instant attraction to Sarah further complicates his already complicated life. Will Alex be able to gather the strength to leave the family business, or is he stuck doing something he doesn't want to do for the rest of his life?moreless
