Paper Soldiers is a 2002 crime comedy starring Kevin Hart (Death at a Funeral) in a hip hop heist film about a crew of thieves whose attempts at big-time breaking and entering jobs are filled with hilarious mishaps, blunders, and inevitable failure. Hart plays Shawn, a petty thief who is trying to make it big as a major criminal. He works as part of a crew filled with misfits like himself. While their robberies always look pretty good on paper, things always go wrong when they carry anything out. One day, the crew devises a plan for a job that will make or break them as a crew—they'll break into Jay-Z's house and rob the international superstar, catapulting their gang to fame and wealth. However, like always, things don't go as smoothly as they hoped, and Shawn has to keep everyone together as the job spirals out of control. Paper Soldiers is a funny story about some would-be thugs who can't do anything write, featuring appearances by Jay-Z and Memphis Bleek and written by Charles Murphy.moreless
