Paperman is a horror film starring Dean Stockwell, Stefanie Powers, James Stacy, and Tina Chen. The film was written as a television melodrama by James D. Buchanan, and was eventually distributed by Fox Television in October of 1971. The story centers around 5 intelligent, curious and mischievous college students who begin to manipulate the data within a super computer. At first the students enter nonsensical data into the computer as part of an experiment. But the students soon realize that they can take advantage of the system by creating biographical information that does not really exist - most importantly, they can create a fraudulent line of credit. As the kids shamelessly continue to abuse the glitch in the system, the computer begins to talk back - by murdering three of the five students. A pioneer in a new genre of film called techno-thriller, Paperman is an absolute must see for all those interested in science fiction and computers!
