Patricia Cornwell's At Risk is a 2010 crime thriller about a politically ambitious District Attorney opening up a 20-year old murder investigation, based on a 2006 novel by the popular writer. Boston district attorney Monique Lamont (Andie MacDowell) wants to draw attention to her new crime initiative called "At Risk." Lamont is less interested in solving old cases as she is in winning the election for Governor. Lamont wisely picks Win Garano (Daniel Sunjata), the best investigator in the state police department, to highlight the latest techniques, DNA science and forensics technology by solving a cold case down in Knoxville, Tennessee. Police detective Delma Sykes (Annabeth Gish) joins Garano in exploring the evidence. The case takes an unexpected turn when a violent rape and newly uncovered evidence points to a cover-up that extends to present day. With their reputations and possibly their lives at stake, Garano and Sykes will have to expose the dangerous elements back in Boston.
