Patton: Bonus Material is a second disc containing special features about the making and impact of this Academy Award winning 1970 film. The extra disc features the 1997 50-minute retrospective documentary, "The Making of Patton: A Tribute to Franklin J. Schaffner" detailing the unique contributions of renowned director Franklin J. Schaffner. The disc also presents Jerry Goldsmith's Oscar nominated musical score presented in stereo along with alternate takes and a series of radio spots from the film's promotional material. An additional included documentary called "The History of Patton." provides historical background about General Patton. This disc helps explain some of the source material for moments in the film. Further, the bonus disc includes an all-new documentary"Patton's Ghost Corps" about the fake tanks used to divert Nazi attention from the force massing for the D-Day invasion.
