Pauline At The Beach is a moral tale about gossip, young love, lust and deception. A teenager named Pauline (Amanda Langlet) is on a summer vacation on the coast of sunny, beautiful Normandy. Marion (Arielle Dombasle), a blond fashion designer, has just divorced her husband and is on the prowl for some love. She manages to hook up with a womanizer named Henri (F''odor Atkine), he soon grows tired of her and loses interest. Pierre (Pascal Greggory), however, has pined over Marion for years without any luck. Marion feels he should date her younger cousin, Pauline, who is lacking in sexual experience. Pauline, however, already has a boyfriend. Needless to say, hijinks begin to ensue when Marion does her best to manipulate Henri and keep Pierre in the palm of her hand while juggling all the assorted emotions. Who will come out on top in these quests for love?
