Perfect Murder, Perfect Town is a 2000 true crime drama based on the novel, Perfect Murder, Perfect Town: JonBenet and the City of Boulder, by Lawrence Schiller. Schiller also wrote and directed the movie. The film chronicles the true events surrounding the unsolved murder of JonBenet Ramsey (Dyanne Landoli), a 6-year-old pageant queen from a prominent Boulder, Colorado, family. On December 26, 1996, JonBenet was found, by her mother, murdered in her family's home. Her parents, John (Ronny Cox) and Patsy Ramsey (Marg Helgenberger), were scrutinized by those around them, including the police, their friends, colleagues, neighbors and especially the media. The movie also captures the controversy, regarding her parents' alleged involvement, that erupted in Boulder shortly after JonBenet's death. The film also analyzes criticism towards the police and the district attorney for the way they handled the investigation. If the crime scene had been handled correctly, would the case have turned out differently?
