Phil Collins: A Life Less Ordinary is a 2003 documentary film which chronicles the life of perennial musician Phil Collins, who experienced a steep climb in fame after separating from his former band Genesis in 1996. The camera follows Phil in England, his native home, as he reminisces on previous work and experiences and speaks about the importance of family life and workload balance. Although Collins first received attention as a deft percussionist, he later received critical acclaim as an actor, singer and composer. The film charts his succession through the industry - from drummer to songwriter - with songs and performances which range from his early days with Genesis through his later productions as a solo artist. The film also includes rare performances of "Sussudio", "One More Night", and "Another Day in Paradise". A Life Less Ordinary will undoubtedly introduce you to aspects of Phil Collins commonly overlooked. It is an enjoyable film for all those interested in the life and times behind one of the most talented musicians to arise during the later half of the 20th century. Don't miss out!moreless
