Phil the Alien is a science fiction comedy that delves into a close encounter of the humorous kind. Phil (Rob Stefaniuk) is an alien whose ship crash lands on Earth. Finding himself near a rural town outside of Ontario, Phil takes on the persona of a Canadian. The first human he encounters introduces Phil to the wonders of alcohol and that is where things really start to get weird. Phil encounters a talking beaver (voiced by Joe Flaherty), joins a band and later ends up wanted for murder. Meanwhile, a US Special Agent (John Kapelos) is brought out of retirement for the sole purpose of capturing Phil. Phil ends up becoming so much of a human that he begins to annoy his newfound friends. Can Phil escape the clutches of the ex-CIA operative sent to find him or will he end up on the front page news?
