Phone is a 2002 Asian horror film about an investigative journalist, Ji-won (Ji-won Ha), who is being harassed by a series of strange phone calls and emails. Thinking it has something to do with her investigation into an underage sex ring, Ji-won escapes to a friend's house where she hopes the harassing phones will stop. The calls continue, however, and when her friend's young daughter, Yeong-ju (Seo-woo Eun), accidentally picks up her cell phone, she soon starts exhibiting bizarre behavior. After investigating further, Ji-won learns that there have been mysterious deaths connected to the people who had her phone number previously. Ji-won starts to think that the phone calls may have nothing to do with her investigative pieces at all and may actually be about the phone itself. The more Ji-won learns about this investigation, the stranger and more complex it becomes. Phone is directed by Byeong-ki Ahn, from a screenplay from Ahn Byong Ki and Lee Yu-Jin.
