Picnic is a 1955 romantic film that is the story of Hal Carter (William Holden), a charismatic drifter. He arrives in the small Kansas City town during the Labor Day festivities to look up his rich college friend, Alan (Cliff Robertson). Hal comes looking for a job or a handout.
