Pin Up Girl stars real life pin up Betty Grable as Lorry Jones. Taking advantage of Grable's fame as a pin up for soldiers in WWII, 20th Century Fox released this film in 1944. The movie begins with Lorry as a singer on a base in Missouri. All of the soldiers love her, and most of them propose to her. She accepts, but only to make them feel good. She decides to become a stenographer in Washington D.C. and goes with her friend Kay Pritchett (Dorothea Kent). Before starting their new job, Lorry and Kay have a wild night in New York City. Once there, they are welcomed by Tommy Dooley (John Harvey), a naval hero. When the girls try to get into a club, a case of mistaken identity occurs. Love, dancing, and music ensue in this comedy which features Martha Raye, Dave Willock, Roger Clark and John E. Brown.moreless
