What helps offset the predictable in this very predictable movie is a series of show-stopping numbers, so props to the folks who oversaw music and choreography. But the true saving...

    Chicago Sun-Times Roger Ebert

The Higgins performance owes more than a little to Fred Willard's unforgettable dog show commentary in "Best in Show," but it was clear that Willard was part of a telecast.

  • 40

The New York Times Neil Genzlinger

Only occasionally funny and not at all illuminating about the rich world of a cappella singing.

First of all, stop comparing this masterpiece to "Glee" and "High School Musical" and other shit like that, this is WAY BETTER than that utter abomination. I love that it's a capella and how they sing live, no playback or lip syncing. I LOVE EACH AND EVERY CHARACTER. Starting with Fat Amy to Beca to Cynthia Rose... They're all GREAT. The music is fucking catchy mixed with the amazing choreography -- THIS MOVIE IS A WINNER.moreless
  • Ok...

Well it just seemed like another singing movie kinda like glee... Some of the jokes were actually laughable though. But it definitely wasnt a favorite, and im not really looking forward to a second one.
  • Wonderful music!

The music in this movie is soooooo beautiful and the singing too!

The story isn't too bad but sometimes it's a little bit over the top..

Great movie when you just want to sit back and relax! :)
