Play Misty For Me is a 1971 suspense thriller starring Clint Eastwood as a late night radio host stalked by a dangerously obsessed fan. DJ Dave Garver (Clint Eastwood) meets Evelyn Draper (Jessica Walter) at a Carmel, California bar near where he works. They spend the night together and Evelyn admits that she's the frequent caller requesting "Misty" by Erroll Garner. Although Dave just wanted a one-night stand, Evelyn keeps pestering Dave at work and his home, trying to develop a relationship. Dave has no interest in Evelyn because Tobie (Donna Mills), a former girlfriend, has moved back to town. Although Dave tries to let her down easy, Evelyn escalates her behavior -- attempting suicide, attacking his housekeeper, and destroying his personal property. Just as Tobie and Dave reunite, he receives a call from Evelyn during the show and realizes that Tobie's life may be in danger. Eastwood made his directorial debut with this dramatic thriller.
