Plum Role is a 2007 drama directed by Zak Hilditch. The film was set in Perth, Australia, the most isolated city in the world. Jacob (Matt Hardie) lives in Perth and is a struggling actor, who really needs a break. He thinks he has received the break he desperately needed when he lands a dream role on a cop show. The new role will require Jacob to move all the way across Australia to Sydney. Jacob is ecstatic with his new opportunity and is anxiously awaiting his move to Sydney. One week before Jacob is to leave he meets Cheryl (Laura Henderson). Quickly after meeting Cheryl, the young actor's life begins to fall apart. Jacob must clean up his past if he is to have a future in Sydney. Will Jacob be able to tie up all his loose ends so he can move on, or will his promising acting career be over before it ever had a chance to take off?moreless
