Plunder Road is a 1957 crime drama, directed by Hubert Corfield and written by Steven Ritch. Eddie Harris (Gene Raymond) is a career criminal leading a team of four small-time crooks in the biggest heist of their lives: a train job. But this isn't an ordinary train job; rather, the train they hit is carrying $10 million in gold to the San Francisco depository. After their heist proves successful, they divide their 9-ton bounty between three freight trucks, determined to move the loot to their hideout in Los Angeles. Knowing that weigh stations, traffic hazards, and even police road blocks might be in their way, the bandits split up and the trucks take separate routes back to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the police are hot on their trail, determined to recover the goods. Can the robbers evade the authorities and enjoy a perfect getaway, or will the long arm of the law stretch in their direction?
