Point Blank is a 1967 crime drama based on the book "The Hunter" by Donald E. Westlake and starring Lee Marvin as Walker, a career criminal who goes on a quest for vengeance after getting double-crossed by his partner during their last job together, a betrayal that left Walker bleeding on the ground from multiple gunshot wounds. Walker stood to earn $93,000 after he and Mal Reese ripped off a courier carrying cash from a gambling ring. Reese left Walker for dead and took off with the money. Now, recovered, confused, and very angry, Reese sets off to get his money back and take out the people responsible for his near-death experience. Angie Dickinson co-stars as Chris, a woman caught in between Walker and Reese. Point Blank is an iconic action film that went on to inspire dozens of remakes and similar stories, including Mel Gibson's 1999 film Payback.
